Hello!
My name is Andrea Conour Kiefer, and I am the Owner & Sole Freelance Paralegal at On Call Paralegal and Premium Paralegal Services. I am a senior-level, certified, litigation paralegal with over 25 years' legal experience. I left the law firm setting in June 2019 to open my remote/virtual Freelance Paralegal support company. I was raised by two attorneys (my dad was a Personal Injury Plaintiff's Attorney, and my stepmom was an Assistant United States Attorney) and the love of the law is in my blood! I grew up hanging out at my dad's personal injury firm and spent many Saturdays learning from his Legal Administrator. I am forever grateful to all that she taught me and the time she spent with me. She guided me from the ground up - from preparing file folder labels on a typewriter - to filing the week's case documents - to answering phones - to drafting pleadings. She allowed me to hang out in her office and bug her during many Saturdays! I have fond memories of my dad's law practice and him serving on the Ford Pinto Prosecution Trial in 1980 when I was 10, helping create Indiana's Dram Shop Law under the Picadilly case in 1988 when I was 18, and being instrumental in creating much of Indiana's construction site laws during my 20's and 30's. Every Sunday we had family dinners where we would hear all about our stepmom and dad's week. By age 10, I knew more about three-letter acronyms associated with federal criminal matters than the average 50-year-old! If I only had a dollar for every time I heard the words FBI, DEA, ATF, and AUSA during our Sunday meals! I was like a sponge and couldn't get enough of their stories and cases they were working on. I owe so much of my knowledge, drive, and passion for the law to my dad and stepmom!
